Job summary

Tech Mahindra is seeking a Data Engineer with 7+ years’ hands-on experience to lead design and delivery of a high-performing data platform. You will champion engineering best practices and mentor engineers across the business.

You will work with the Head of Data Engineering to implement strategy, build ingestion and transformation pipelines, and deliver reusable data products. A strong focus on security, governance and reliability will be essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years hands-on data engineering experience.
• Advanced SQL and Python knowledge.
• Experience with ETL/ELT platforms, data lakes, warehousing, and CDC.
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Snowflake/Databricks, Airflow).
• Software engineering, MLOps or DevOps with CI/CD and Git.

Responsibilities

• Set high engineering standards and mentor engineers.
• Lead data engineering strategy with Head of Data Engineering.
• Design and implement high-performing data platform.
• Develop ingestion and transformation pipelines for reusable data products.
• Contribute to the data product roadmap and governance.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and data teams to deliver data products.
• Support BAU data products, ensuring security and reliability.
• Partner with stakeholders to manage data product risks.
