Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Sydney is seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise cloud data platforms. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement robust cloud architecture to support BI and advanced analytics.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering with hands-on Azure experience and strong SQL, Python/PySpark/Scala skills, driving scalable data warehousing solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or a related data-centric role.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services including ADF, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.
• Strong proficiency in building production-grade data pipelines and scripts using Python, PySpark, or Scala.
• Advanced SQL skills, dimensional data modeling, and robust troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and ETL/ELT integration solutions.
• Architect data models and optimize SQL queries for performance.
• Establish pipeline monitoring, data validation, and quality checks to ensure data integrity.
• Implement data governance and privacy controls to meet compliance standards.
