Job summary

Nine Entertainment Co. Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data products and reduce complexity across data systems. You will centralize enterprise data into our data warehouse to inform business operations and strategy.

You will design and maintain data pipelines with Python and SQL, lead designs, and implement Airflow and DBT while collaborating with Product, Cyber Security, and Platform Engineering to meet timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Deep understanding of cloud migration strategies, best practices, and potential pitfalls.
• Experience leading data engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and models that extract, load, and transform data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Lead solution designs and document technical decisions to enhance knowledge sharing.
• Champion engineering standards across coding, DevOps, and metadata standardizations to ensure high-quality output within timelines.
• Integrate emerging technologies and AI tools into daily workflows for code suggestions, data profiling, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and adjacent tech teams to maintain standards and resolve incidents.
• Work with Product Managers to shape data solutions and support end-user requirements.
