Job summary

Allura Partners is recruiting for a Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake, AWS) on a 12-month day rate contract based in Sydney. You will design the AWS data engineering capability for a major migration program, build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines into Snowflake, and convert legacy logic to modern pipeline code using AI tooling.

You will lead data validation, reconciliation and cutover, while mentoring engineers and driving DevOps/DataOps practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data/cloud engineering.
• 5+ years delivering data platforms and warehouses in a Cloud/DevOps environment.
• 3+ years on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the AWS data engineering capability for the program.
• Build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines into Snowflake.
• Convert legacy warehouse logic into version-controlled pipeline code using AI tooling.
• Lead data validation, reconciliation and cutover.
• Automate deployment through IaC and CI/CD, mentoring engineers.
