Job summary

Megaport is seeking a highly skilled network engineer to design, build and evolve data centre network fabrics across global compute platforms. You will collaborate with engineering teams, vendors and partners to deliver fast, predictable and operable infrastructure.

Based in Australia, this is the first Compute Networking role for the region. You will be the local anchor, working across time zones with the Brazil team and driving automation, standard designs and operational documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong background in networking and telecommunications.
• Experience with IP routing, QoS, MTU, resiliency and failure scenarios.
• Proficiency with BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and leaf-spine architectures is preferred.
• Experience with large-scale DC networks and MPLS networks.
• Experience writing scripts to automate tasks (Python/Perl).
• Learns quickly, adaptable in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve data centre network fabrics for compute platforms.
• Work with leaf-spine fabrics, GPU/storage networks and automation.
• Operate IP fabrics using BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, ECMP.
• Provide technical summaries for executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Escalate as last-level escalation point for network operations.
