Job summary

Megaport in Australia is seeking an experienced Compute Networking engineer to design, build and evolve data centre network fabrics that underpin our bare metal and accelerated compute platform. You’ll work on leaf-spine fabrics, GPU networks and the automation that keeps them fast, predictable and operable, partnering with internal teams and external partners.

This is the first Compute Networking role in Australia; you’ll be the local anchor for the region and collaborate daily with the Brazil

Qualifications

• Passionate about technology and solving problems.
• Strong networking and telecommunications background.
• Solid understanding of IP routing, QoS, MTU, resiliency and failure scenarios.
• Experience with BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and leaf-spine architectures.
• Experience with large-scale DC/MPLS networks.
• Experience scripting to automate tasks; Python/Perl desirable.
• Familiarity with Linux networking and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement resilient leaf-spine fabrics for GPU and high-performance compute infrastructure.
• Evaluate, test and certify new network hardware and software.
• Operate IP fabrics using BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and ECMP.
• Support GPU frontend, backend, storage and management connectivity.
• Develop network architectures, standards and implementation plans.
• Maintain vendor relationships and drive automation and monitoring.
