Job summary

Megaport is seeking a Compute Networking professional in Australia to design, build and evolve data centre network fabrics underpinning its high-performance compute platform. You will coordinate with internal teams, Brazil-based staff, and external partners across time zones to deliver fast, predictable, and operable infrastructure.

You’ll lead evaluation of new hardware and software, develop standards, and implement automation and monitoring to ensure reliability for GPU and AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Strong background in networking and telecommunications.
• Understanding of IP routing, QoS, MTU, resiliency and failure scenarios.
• Practical experience with BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and leaf-spine architecture.
• Experience with large-scale DC networks and MPLS networks.
• Experience writing scripts to automate tasks.
• Desirable: Python, Perl; Agile exposure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, test and certify new network hardware, systems and software.
• Design and deploy resilient leaf-spine fabrics for GPU/AI HPC infra.
• Operate IP fabrics using BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and ECMP.
• Support GPU data centers’ connections and out-of-band networks.
• Configure switches, routers, and data center interconnects.
• Implement QoS, ECN and Priority Flow Control where needed.
• Integrate data centers with Megaport transport and cloud connectivity.
• Lead PoC exercises with integration partners.
• Develop next-gen network architectures and standards.
• Produce low-level designs, implementation plans and docs.
• Maintain vendor engineering relationships and monitor networks.
