Job summary

Salt is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Lead for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Australia, joining a small, collaborative Data & Insights team. The role blends hands-on analytics with senior stakeholder engagement across multiple initiatives, enabling data-driven decision making.

You will own analytical projects, identify where data creates value, and guide teams to deliver insights that influence business outcomes. A proactive, autonomous, team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hands-on analytics or similar roles.
• Strong SQL skills with relational data.
• Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Qlik.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial analytics, insights and recommendations across initiatives.
• Investigate datasets to identify trends and insights.
• Translate complex analysis into clear data stories that influence decisions.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and tailor communication accordingly.
• Own analytics projects from discovery to delivery and recommendation.
• Identify business problems where data adds value and act on it.
• Support systems like Amazon Connect, CRM, Workday and Finance data sources.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and data relationships.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on data architecture and curated layers.
• Contribute to data governance and analytics best practices.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts and share knowledge.
