Job summary

Davidson is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst in Brisbane to bridge data, finance and business requirements. You will translate curated data into executive dashboards and commercial insights, collaborating with senior stakeholders to shape reporting.

The role focuses on Power BI dashboards, Databricks data, governance and consistent analytics delivery within a large enterprise. This 6-month contract offers high visibility and a chance to influence strategic decisions from a modern data

Qualifications

• Commercially minded Data/BI Analyst with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
• Strong Power BI hands-on experience.
• Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.
• Experience delivering reporting and analytics in a finance or commercial environment.
• Understanding of financial reporting concepts (accruals, general ledger, budgeting or forecasting).
• Experience translating curated datasets into executive-level reporting.
• Strong data governance and reporting practices.
• Experience in a large, complex enterprise environment.

About the Company

Our client is a large, well-established organisation currently investing heavily in its data and analytics capability. With a significant volume of customer and commercial data, they are looking to strengthen how data is translated into meaningful insights for senior business and finance leaders.

This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity within a supportive, high-performing team working on a key enterprise program.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst who can bridge the gap between data, finance and the business.

You’ll work closely with senior finance and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate curated data into meaningful dashboards, reporting and commercial insights.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing executive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI
• Working with Databricks and curated data across Silver/Gold layers
• Gathering and translating requirements from senior finance and business stakeholders
• Delivering financial and commercial reporting and analytics
• Turning complex datasets into clear business insights
• Bringing structure, governance and consistency to analytics and reporting delivery
• Working across technical and business teams to ensure reporting meets business needs

About You

You’ll be a commercially minded Data/BI Analyst who is equally comfortable working with data and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Strong hands-on Power BI experience
• Experience working with Databricks or similar modern cloud data platforms
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience delivering reporting and analytics within a finance or commercial environment
