Job summary
The Lottery Corporation in Brisbane is looking for a Senior Data & AI Engineer to help modernise and transform how data is built, moved and used across our business. You will help move workloads to Google Cloud Platform, build data pipelines, models and foundations for analytics and AI.
You’ll develop modern data pipelines on GCP using BigQuery and dbt, modernise legacy workloads, and orchestrate with Cloud Composer.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience across data, analytics or AI engineering.
- Strong SQL and Python with data modelling capability.
- Experience building production data solutions in cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Build modern data pipelines and transformations on GCP.
- Develop scalable data models using BigQuery and dbt.
- Modernise legacy workloads for our cloud environment.
- Build and orchestrate pipelines through Cloud Composer.
- Develop batch, streaming and event-driven data solutions.
- Optimise data solutions for performance and cost.
- Build reusable components for AI and agentic solutions.
- Embed CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Troubleshoot complex data and pipeline issues.
- Partner with the business to understand data requirements.
- Mentor engineers and uplift modern engineering practices.
