Job summary

The Lottery Corporation in Brisbane is looking for a Senior Data & AI Engineer to help modernise and transform how data is built, moved and used across our business. You will help move workloads to Google Cloud Platform, build data pipelines, models and foundations for analytics and AI.

You’ll develop modern data pipelines on GCP using BigQuery and dbt, modernise legacy workloads, and orchestrate with Cloud Composer.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience across data, analytics or AI engineering.
• Strong SQL and Python with data modelling capability.
• Experience building production data solutions in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Build modern data pipelines and transformations on GCP.
• Develop scalable data models using BigQuery and dbt.

• Build and orchestrate pipelines through Cloud Composer.
• Develop batch, streaming and event-driven data solutions.

• Troubleshoot complex data and pipeline issues.

We're looking for a Senior Data & AI Engineer to help transform how data is built, moved and used across our business.

You’ll join us at an interesting point in our journey, helping modernise our enterprise data landscape as we move workloads from established platforms onto Google Cloud Platform, while building new data pipelines, models and foundations for analytics and AI.

What you'll do

• Build modern data pipelines and transformations on GCP

What you'll bring

• Demonstrated experience across data, analytics or AI engineering
• Strong SQL, Python and data modelling capability
• Experience building production data solutions in cloud environments
• GCP experience, or strong transferable cloud data platform experience
• Enterprise-scale data warehousing, ETL and migration experience
• Experience with modern transformation and orchestration tooling
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and modern engineering experience
• Confidence partnering with technical and business stakeholders
• Curiosity and an AI-first mindset towards building and problem-solving
