Job summary

Clicks IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst for a 6-month contract in Sydney, offering hybrid work from the Sydney CBD. The role focuses on strengthening cyber resilience in a banking and financial services environment, with daily rates of AUD 1,100–1,200.

You will drive remediation, coordinate responses to threats, and collaborate with cyber, cloud, and identity teams to elevate controls and reporting. Prior banking/regulatory exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
• Strong understanding of security hardening and configuration management.
• Experience responding to critical vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
• Knowledge of Essential Eight, ASD ISM, NIST CSF and CIS Benchmarks.
• Ability to assess risk and prioritise remediation efforts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive vulnerability remediation and exposure management activities.
• Coordinate responses to critical vulnerabilities and emerging cyber threats.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk-based prioritisation.
• Support threat advisory activities and risk reduction programs.
• Improve security metrics, reporting and compliance capabilities.
• Partner with technology and business stakeholders to improve cyber posture.
• Develop and maintain operational standards and security procedures.
