Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst (BAU) to strengthen vulnerability management and security posture across enterprise technology. The role collaborates with Infrastructure, Cloud, Identity, End User Computing, and Technology teams to drive remediation, reporting and risk reduction.

You will assess vulnerabilities, coordinate responses, and develop metrics while aligning with risk appetite and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Tenable) and integration with remediation/workflow tools.
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, secure configuration standards, and system hardening.
• Experience with exposure management, attack surface management, or risk-based vulnerability management approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support vulnerability management and security posture management capabilities, including remediation governance and reporting.
• Coordinate responses to significant exposure events and emerging threats.
• Improve vulnerability management, compliance assessment, and exposure management processes.
• Provide SME for vulnerability management platforms and related tooling.
• Support and enhance vulnerability workflows within SecOps (ServiceNow) including remediation tracking and reporting.
• Advance risk-based prioritisation using exploitability, asset criticality, and threat intel.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver cyber risk reduction outcomes.
• Promote secure configuration standards across the enterprise.
• Develop and maintain security standards, procedures, metrics, and reporting.
• Support threat advisory and vulnerability response activities and track risk reductions.
• Contribute to BAU vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and compliance uplift.
