Job summary

NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is seeking a Senior Customer Service Officer to support marine parks across NSW. Job description

  • Full Time, 35 hours per week
  • Temporary up to June 2028
  • Primary Work Location: Narooma or Jervis Bay
  • Clerk Grade 3/4 – Salary from $87,199 up to $95,482 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading
About The Role

As a Senior Customer Service Officer, you will provide frontline information and administrative support for marine parks across NSW. You will respond to enquiries, process permit applications and referrals, prepare correspondence and maintain accurate records. You will also support asset and financial administration, website updates, community engagement, education activities and advisory committees. Working closely with marine park staff and other customer service officers, you will help ensure customers receive timely, accurate and practical support.

About You
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity and acceptance by your community.
  • Knowledge, respect and understanding of Aboriginal cultural issues in either the Jervis Bay or Eurobodalla area.
  • Experience delivering timely, accurate and customer-focused services.
  • Clear and respectful communication skills when working with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail when processing applications, correspondence and records.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A current NSW Driver Licence and the willingness and ability to travel.
