Job summary

National Australia Bank in Sydney is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit Strategies to join the Business Lending Credit strategies team. You will help shape automated credit decisioning and drive data-driven improvements across the portfolio.

You will collaborate with Risk, Product, Data, Automation and Technology teams, build reporting on End-to-End credit process health, and translate technical findings into actionable recommendations that influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an analyst role within financial services, credit risk, retail or non-retail ending, data or analytics.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability, with demonstrated hands-on experience using Python.
• An understanding of credit risk, credit decisioning technologies, system design, business rules frameworks, controls and process automation to support lending outcomes.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to engage with technical and business stakeholders across different levels.
• TA tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, engineering, data science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation and refinement of automated credit strategies across Business Lending
• Use data and analytics to identify risks, gaps, root-causes and opportunities to enable targeted intervention and improve automation effectiveness
• Develop reporting and insights on End-to-End credit process health, strategy implementation, performance and control monitoring
• Collaborate with Risk, Product, Data, Automation and Technology teams to deliver commercially effective and risk-aligned credit initiatives
• Contribute to proof-of-concepts using external data, automation and emerging decisioning tools
• Translate technical findings into clear and actionable recommendations and build your influence with key stakeholders
