Job summary

Bluestonerecruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our Melbourne team. You will manage costs across health, data centres, aviation and defence projects, from feasibility through delivery, working with clients and project teams to optimise the financial outcome.

You will be based on project sites across Melbourne's south-east three days per week, with a clear progression plan and opportunities to lead major projects within a Tier 1 consultancy.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior cost management for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong cost planning, estimating and budgeting skills.
• Exposure to health, data centres, aviation and defence sectors is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management activities across large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review cost plans, feasibility studies, estimates and budgets.
• Monitor project costs, financial performance and forecasts throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify and manage cost risks, variations and potential overruns.
• Provide strategic cost advice to clients and project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers, consultants and contractors to ensure financial objectives.
• Contribute to commercial decision-making and project delivery excellence.
