Job summary

Kappa Executive Search is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join its Sydney team on major data centre and infrastructure projects. You will lead cost planning, procurement, and financial analysis, partnering with clients and project teams to deliver value on large-scale developments.

You will have 5+ years of consultancy QS or Cost Management experience, pre/post-contract expertise, and be adept at stakeholder management and mentoring junior staff within a global, collaborative consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 5+ years consultancy QS or Cost Management experience.
• Strong pre-contract and post-contract cost management experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial, data centre or infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing capability.
• AIQS or RICS membership, or working towards accreditation, is highly regarded.

• Prepare cost plans, estimates and feasibility studies across all project stages.
• Manage procurement, tendering and contract administration processes.
• Deliver cost reporting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Assess variations, progress claims and final accounts.

Role Overview

This role is suited to an experienced Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience and a strong background in delivering complex construction projects.

You’ll work across the full project lifecycle, providing strategic cost management advice while partnering closely with clients, contractors and project teams. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of major projects, mentor junior team members and continue developing your career within a high-performing international consultancy.
