Job summary

Turner & Townsend Australia is seeking an experienced Associate, Cost Management to join our Cost and Commercial Management team. You will work on workplace, fit-out, refurbishment and capital projects for corporate occupier and real estate clients, providing strategic cost and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Property Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Professional membership of AIQS, RICS, MRICS, CQS or equivalent, or working towards accreditation.
• 8+ years in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Experience delivering workplace, fit-out, refurbishment, commercial real estate or capital projects.
• Strong capability in cost planning, estimating, procurement, contract administration and post-contract cost management.
• Sound understanding of project controls, forecasting, risk management and commercial reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and client-facing skills.
• Proven experience leading project teams and mentoring junior professionals.
• Experience contributing to business development, client account management and work-winning activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost and commercial management services across workplace, fit-out, refurbishment and capital projects.
• Prepare and manage feasibility estimates, cost plans, budgets, cash flow forecasts and benchmark studies.
• Provide strategic cost advice through planning, design, procurement and delivery phases.
• Manage procurement processes, tender evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Administer contracts, assess variations and manage final accounts.
• Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, risk and change control processes.
• Prepare and present cost reports, commercial insights and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams.
• Support business development activities, proposals, presentations and client pursuits.
