Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Australia is seeking an Associate Cost Manager to lead end-to-end cost management on medium to large, complex construction commissions, building trusted client relationships.

You will deliver projects on time, within cost and quality targets, and produce cost plans, procurement strategies and tender documentation. MRICS/AIQS qualifications and 6–11 years' consultancy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management required.
• MRICS and/or AIQS accreditation preferred.
• 6–11 years’ experience in consultancy within construction.
• Proven leadership of cost management commissions on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
• Experience using CostX, CATO and CADMeas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cost management commissions on medium to large, complex construction projects.
• Act as day-to-day client interface to ensure objectives are met.
• Deliver projects on time, cost and quality targets across the lifecycle.
• Produce feasibility studies, cost plans, procurement strategies and tender docs.
• Manage tendering and procurement processes from prequalification to contract award.
• Provide post-contract cost control including valuations and change management.
• Mentor and manage cost management team members.
