Enerven is seeking an experienced Project Controls Cost professional to lead cost control for our most complex projects, including battery energy storage systems and renewables. The role reports to the Head of Project Controls and supports project cost discipline, forecasting, and performance assessments across engineering and construction initiatives.

Based in either Adelaide or Sydney, you will collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams to drive cost clarity, variance

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project cost control across engineering and construction projects.
• Sound understanding of project cost control, forecasting, reporting and performance management.
• Strong analytical and data analysis capabilities, with proficiency in Excel and cost control tools.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to share cost and performance insights across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls throughout the lifecycle.
• Enable and drive project cost forecasting processes.
• Deliver cost variance analysis and identify root causes for forecast movements.
• Oversee change and contingency controls.
• Monitor trends and variances to support informed project decisions.
• Provide reporting and cost insights for visibility and corrective actions.
• Feed cost insights back into estimating and close-out processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within Project Controls.
