Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller to provide cost control, forecasting, and reporting support across a portfolio of major capital projects based in Perth, WA.

You will work with project managers, planners, procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate monitoring, forecasting, and governance of project costs throughout the lifecycle, with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost control within mining, resources, energy, or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
• Experience supporting large-scale capital projects.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with project cost management systems.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project cost control processes, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, accruals, and project performance.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analysis, and management updates.
• Track cost impacts arising from project changes, risks, and opportunities.
• Review contractor claims, procurement commitments, and expenditure trends.
• Support project governance, funding approvals, and close-out activities.
