Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Cost Controller to join the Minerals and Metals Project Controls team in Perth. The role leads all cost control activities, delivering robust financial governance, accurate forecasting and commercial insight to support successful project delivery.

You will provide leadership and technical direction across cost management while partnering with Project Managers, Planning, Procurement, Finance and Client teams. Valid work rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading cost control on medium to large projects.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and cost reporting capabilities.
• Experience with Earned Value Management and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all project cost control activities across assigned projects and study portfolios.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to Cost Controllers.
• Establish and maintain project cost control procedures and reporting processes.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project cost forecasts throughout the lifecycle.
• Analyse actual costs, commitments, accruals and trends against budgets.
• Present regular cost reports, dashboards and management summaries.
