Job summary

Lycopodium Limited in Perth is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller to join our Project Services team. You will lead cost control activities across multiple projects, ensuring accurate budgets and forecasts in line with client and company standards.

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will deliver cost reports, support re-forecasting, and help maintain data integrity in CMS and SAP. The role requires 5+ years' cost control experience and strong communication in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a cost control role, ideally in an EPCM.
• Qualifications in a commerce or engineering discipline is preferred, but not essential.
• Advanced competencies with Microsoft Excel and cost control programmes (CMS & SAP proficiency will be highly regarded).
• Strong knowledge of Cost Controls principles, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and change management.
• Well-developed communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
• A self-starter who can readily adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert cost management insight, ensure data integrity across cost systems, and support strategic decision-making through the preparation and analysis of high-quality cost reports and forecasts.
• Provide technical expertise in the execution of Project control activities, ensuring alignment with Company and Client procedures, policies, and project requirements.
• Ensure all the budgets; forecasts and cost commitments are produced efficiently to a high standard in line with requirements.
• Support team members with re-forecasting and estimating activities to complete project cost forecasts (trending).
• Assist with the entry and administration of data into the project controls software system.
• Monitor Project performance including costs, progress against schedule and internal reviews to provide a transparent assessment of critical project performances.
• Assist Project Managers in decision making by constantly monitoring budget and expenditure changes, as well as providing regular updates of project status.
• Evaluate project progress to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline objectives.
