Job summary

Perth Airport is seeking a commercially focused finance professional to lead analytical support and deliver high-quality financial insights. You will maintain the Corporate Financial Model, develop meaningful analyses, and support major business initiatives across corporate finance, planning, treasury and projects.

About the role

This is a commercially focused role that leads analytical support and high-quality financial insights to inform corporate finance, business planning, strategy, treasury and project decisions. You will develop and maintain the Corporate Financial Model, deliver meaningful analysis and presentations, and support key business initiatives. Working across a range of strategic projects, you will help drive informed decision-making and contribute to the successful delivery of the organisation’s long-term objectives.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

• Lead the delivery of the Corporate Valuation Model inclusive of business forecasts and strategies and developing underlying assumptions with stakeholders.
• Lead the creation of a comprehensive Assumptions Book to accurately reflect the business, cashflows and strategies, and removes inefficiencies with valuations undertaken by shareholders.
• Support the relationships and communication with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Shareholder Analyst Working Group, external Valuers (KPMG), Perth Airport team and Finance Business Partners, for all Valuation matters, particularly to ensure there is a clear understanding of value drivers, they are fully informed of changes and the basis of each progressive valuation.
• Drive analysis and modelling support to the business to support a range of initiatives and project analysis, including assisting with feasibility and business case evaluations.
• Provide analytical insights to senior stakeholders to inform strategy and strategic initiatives to the team and PAPL projects.
• Works collaboratively to identify and translate opportunities for business improvement into financial outcomes.
• Supports PAPLs obligations under the ASA including communications and aeronautical information to airlines and related stakeholders.
• Mentor and review work of analysts, setting the standard for modelling and documentation.

• A least five years’ experience in financial analytics, business analysis or management consulting role (experience with complex DCF models at a minimum).
• Relevant tertiary qualification desirable (minimum bachelor’s degree).

Demonstrated high quality financial literacy and analytical skills, including expert proficiency in MS Excel Exposure to a complex business environment and working with multiple stakeholders Good presentation and communication skills including written documentation including MS PowerPoint You are an adept communicator, negotiator, and influencer, capable of managing communication strategies with diverse stakeholders. You can work independently with strong analytical, problem-solving, creative, and critical-thinking skills.
