Job summary

The Centennial Hotel in Gulgong, part of Ellis Family Hotels, is seeking an experienced Senior Cook to join our busy kitchen team.

You will prepare, cook and serve meals to high standards, manage stock, support junior staff and help maintain food-safety and workplace culture in a full-time role paying AUD 75,000–85,000 plus superannuation.

Applicants should have at least three years in a high-volume kitchen; this is not suitable for recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals in accordance with current menus and recipes
• Manage stock effectively while minimising waste
• Support and guide less-experienced kitchen staff
• Help ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
• Maintain kitchen areas in accordance with food-safety standards
• Check the accuracy and quality of incoming supplies
• Prepare meals for special dietary requirements
• Assist with menu planning and development
• Follow all company policies and procedures
