You will model physics, implement production software, and work directly with hardware to understand machine behavior, owning results and collaborating with software, electrical, mechanical, and field teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing, implementing, and tuning controllers on physical systems.
  • Strong foundation in feedback control, dynamic systems, stability, and discrete-time implementation.
  • Proficiency in C++ and experience with Python or MATLAB for analysis and development.
  • Ability to diagnose problems across software, sensors, actuators, and mechanical systems.
  • Clear communication, ownership, and hands-on work with machines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop machine control algorithms and tune controllers for machine motion.
  • Translate motion targets into coordinated actuator commands considering dynamics and limits.
  • Improve tracking, responsiveness, stability, and repeatability across conditions.
  • Build calibration and testing procedures repeatable across machines.
  • Implement production control software with reliable interfaces and tests.
