Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on controller design experience after completing your degree.
• Experience deploying control systems on real hardware, not just simulations.
• Strong experience modeling and validating physical plant models from first principles and data.
• Experience delivering PID on real hardware and at least one modern control method (LQR, MPC, Kalman).
• Strong Python skills for development, debugging, simulation, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design and tune PID controllers and advanced strategies like LQR, MPC, and Kalman filtering.
• Develop controllers for robots, drones, automotive platforms, and industrial hardware.
• Build plant models from first principles and empirical data and validate them.
• Apply state-space and transfer-function modeling methods.
• Implement and verify control algorithms using Python.
• Utilize open-source control tooling (Python Control, SciPy, CasADi, do-mpc).
• Analyze system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Iterate controller design for stability and reliability.
• Document strategies, decisions, and validation results clearly.
• Communicate findings effectively in written and verbal form.
• Collaborate remotely with interdisciplinary teams while maintaining independence.
