Andromeda Robotics is seeking an Autonomy Engineer to advance Abi's autonomy stack with a strong focus on safety and reliability. You will design, implement, and test the foundations of autonomy while coordinating with perception, hardware, and frontend teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of robotics autonomy or related experience.
• Strong foundation in classical control and ML-based methods.
• Proficient in production-grade C++ and Python software.
• Ability to reason from first principles to solve complex problems.
• Experience with end-to-end robotics systems from perception to actuation.
• Startup experience and ability to wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the foundational autonomy stack for Abi.
• Hardening and validating the autonomy stack with tests across software and hardware.
• Maintain a large fleet of Abis in customer environments and improve deployment processes.
• Hands-on hardware debugging and sensor/actuator integration.
• Improve user experience by connecting autonomy with cloud and robot frontend.
• Gather requirements and follow the full product development lifecycle.
• Build high-fidelity simulations in IsaacSim to validate end-to-end autonomy.
• Communicate complex ideas and lead cross-functional discussions.
