Job summary

SAGE Automation, a Tetra Tech company, is Australia's leading independent industrial automation and control systems integrator. We are seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer in Darwin to lead design, integration, programming and commissioning of digital and analogue control systems on live projects.

You will mentor graduate and junior engineers, drive results aligned with customer needs, and ensure delivery within scope, schedule and budget across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Relevant Engineering degree and project experience.
• 4+ years of experience in the design and development of automated or process control systems.
• Proven experience in electrical design, code development and programming on Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider PLCs and various HMI/SCADA such as Ignition or Citect systems.
• Previous experience leading and mentoring Graduate and Junior Engineers.
• Australian Citizen; current Defence Security Clearance is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead a technical team through ongoing mentoring and development.
• Be accountable for the team’s performance in achieving schedule, quality and budget targets.
• Apply engineering concepts, practices, and theories to design technical solutions.
• Understand and drive results that meet the customer’s real needs.
• Deliver technical solutions that meet the scope of the project and support the strategic development for the business.
• Commission electrical control systems and motion control applications i.e. variable frequency and/or servo drives.
• Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high risk items to management.
