SGC Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to deliver automation solutions across the full project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning and support. You’ll work on mining, renewables, and industrial projects with exposure to major platforms and international opportunities.

The role emphasizes design, programming, FAT/SAT, site commissioning, and ongoing technical support, with a focus on safety, reliability, and performance improvements.

Qualifications

Experience with PLC and SCADA systems.
Control systems design and commissioning experience.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work across both office-based engineering and site environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop industrial control systems.
PLC and SCADA programming, configuration, and testing.
Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and documentation.
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
Site commissioning and start-up support.
Fault finding, optimisation, and system improvements.
Client engagement and technical support throughout project delivery.
Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and client specifications.
