Job summary

Join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering automation and control system solutions for mining and heavy industry projects. This senior hands-on role offers ownership of projects from concept and detailed design through to implementation, testing and commissioning while reporting to the Team Manager (Control Systems and Commissioning).

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Strong industrial automation experience
• PLC and SCADA/HMI expertise
• Industrial communications network experience
• Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills
• Experience with platforms such as Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Emerson or ABB would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Engineer PLC, SCADA and HMI solutions
• Develop control narratives, I/O lists and architectures
• Configure Rockwell, Siemens and similar platforms
• Execute FAT, SAT and commissioning programs
• Diagnose automation, communications and instrumentation issues
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces
• Deliver end-to-end control systems engineering
