Consolidated Power Projects Australia in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. The role blends commercial advice with contract administration, collaborating with Project Managers, delivery teams and legal.

Initial focus includes NSW utility projects with potential Queensland work as the pipeline grows. You will advise on obligations, manage variations and claims, and help ensure compliance with payment legislation while

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar contracts or commercial role, ideally with four or more years in infrastructure project delivery.
• Experience in power, gas, water, rail or similarly complex infrastructure environments.
• Ability to interpret and administer bespoke contracts across both head contracts and subcontracts.
• Understanding of Australian Security of Payment requirements and relevant labour-hire and building licensing obligations.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written communication and the ability to build effective relationships with Project Managers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Advise Project Managers on contractual obligations, commercial risks and requirements under head contracts and subcontracts.
• Prepare and manage contractual correspondence, notices, variations and claims, ensuring relevant timeframes are met.
• Support payment claims and responses in accordance with contract requirements and applicable Security of Payment legislation.
• Review and negotiate subcontract and purchase order terms, including commercial departures, in consultation with commercial and legal colleagues.
• Coordinate subcontract execution, internal approvals and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate commercial registers, project records and contract documentation.
• Identify complex or high‑risk matters and work with legal counsel to develop practical solutions.
