Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to support delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You will provide commercial advice and contract administration, interfacing with Project Managers, delivery teams and legal counsel to interpret requirements, manage risks and progress contractual matters throughout project delivery.

Initial work will cover NSW utility projects with potential to support Queensland projects as the pipeline grows,

Qualifications

• Experience in contracts or commercial role in infrastructure projects.
• Experience in power, gas, water, rail or similar complex infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret and administer bespoke contracts across head contracts and subcontracts.
• Knowledge of Australian Security of Payment requirements and labour-hire/building licensing obligations.

Responsibilities

• Advise Project Managers on contractual obligations, commercial risks and requirements under head contracts and subcontracts.
• Prepare and manage contractual correspondence, notices, variations and claims, ensuring timeframes are met.
• Support payment claims and responses in accordance with contract requirements and applicable Security of Payment legislation.
• Review and negotiate subcontract and purchase order terms, including commercial departures, with commercial and legal colleagues.
• Coordinate subcontract execution, internal approvals and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate commercial registers, project records and contract documentation.
• Identify high‑risk matters and work with legal counsel to develop practical solutions.
