Job summary

Gamuda Engineering, a subsidiary of Gamuda Berhad, invites applications for a Senior Contracts Administrator based in Melbourne to support the commercial delivery of major transport and energy projects.

You will manage end-to-end subcontract administration, variations and reporting, aligning head office contracts with site progress, and mitigating commercial risk. Collaboration with engineers, procurement and project controls is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Commerce or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management in civil engineering, major infrastructure or renewable energy sectors.
• Working knowledge of Australian construction contracts, procurement frameworks and commercial principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end contract administration across upstream and downstream activities, including subcontract packages, payment claims, variations and contractual notices.
• Lead and assist with sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and contract award processes for equipment packages, materials, and specialized subcontractors.
• Partner with site-based engineers, procurement managers and project controls teams to align head office contract administration with site progress and schedules.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual and financial risks across the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with governance.
• Maintain accurate contract registers and prepare timely commercial reporting packs for senior leadership and joint-venture partners.
• Assist in resolving commercial disputes and managing claims with subcontractors and suppliers.
