Job summary

Talent International seeks Senior Contract Specialists to join major mining projects in Perth CBD. You will support tender development, evaluation and execution for construction contracts, equipment and services, and ensure procurement aligns with project objectives, schedules and compliance.

Candidates should have 5+ years in project contracting within mining or related capital projects, with strong negotiation, administration and claims-management capabilities, plus robust stakeholder

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project contracting and procurement experience in mining or related capital projects.
• Exposure to Civils, NPI, SMP and EIC construction work packages.
• Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, engineering, construction management, or quantity surveying.
• Strong contract negotiation, administration and claims-management capability.
• High attention to detail with ability to produce clear, commercially robust documentation.
• Proactive, independent, outcomes-focused with strong stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support development, coordination, evaluation and execution of tender packages for construction contracts, equipment and services.

• Administer contracts post-award, including claims management, payment claim assessments, correspondence, variations and close-out.
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors across multiple work packages.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle.

• Support development, coordination, evaluation and execution of tender packages for construction contracts, equipment and services.

• Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or similar, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Sound capability in contract negotiation, administration and claims management.
• Understanding of project delivery models, construction contracts and commercial risk allocation.
• High attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, accurate and commercially robust documentation.
• Proactive, accountable and outcome-focused approach with the ability to work independently and contribute to high-performing teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
