Job summary

The City of Ballarat is seeking a senior contract management professional to lead and strengthen the Council's contract management framework, providing expert advice on development, management, performance, risk and compliance across a diverse service, supply and infrastructure portfolio.

Reporting to the Executive Manager Business Services, you will collaborate with senior leaders, project managers and procurement professionals to drive commercial outcomes and deliver value for the Ballarat

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing complex contractual arrangements.
• Strong knowledge of contract law principles and risk.
• Ability to interpret, develop and negotiate terms with governance and operational balance.
• Experience in local government or public sector is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert contract and commercial advice to senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• Lead and strengthen the Council's contract management framework.
• Drive continuous improvement in contract performance and compliance.
• Shape organisational capability through frameworks and best practices.
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Procurement and operations across Council.
