Job summary

Sacyr is seeking a Contract Manager to lead the commercial and contractual management of major subcontracts on Australian infrastructure projects. You will coordinate procurement, tendering, negotiation and award, and administer subcontract agreements throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires 8–15 years in contract administration, strong stakeholder management, and knowledge of Australian contracts, with experience in large structural or precast packages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related discipline.
• 8–15 years' experience in contract administration and commercial management.
• Experience managing major structural, precast, or concrete packages on large infra or building projects.
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and contract management.
• Experience with claims, variations, and commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of Australian construction contracts.
• Experience in Joint Venture environments is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial and contractual management of all Superstructure and Precast packages. Manage procurement strategy, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and award of major subcontract packages.
• Administer subcontract agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess variations, claims, extensions of time, and commercial risks.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against cost, programme, quality, and contractual obligations. Lead commercial negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain package budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Support monthly internal and client reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement commercial opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and project controls teams to manage package delivery.
• Support the resolution of disputes and contractual issues.
