Sacyr is seeking a Contract Manager to join our Australian operations in Townsville. The role focuses on leading commercial and contractual management for major packages, administering subcontract agreements, and managing variations, claims, and risk across project life cycles.

The successful candidate will coordinate with construction, engineering, and project controls teams, develop budgets and cost reports, and support client reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract administration and commercial management is required.
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and contract management.
• Experience with claims, variations, and commercial negotiations is desired.

Responsabilités

• Lead the commercial and contractual management of all Superstructure and Precast packages.

• Assess variations, claims, extensions of time, and commercial risks.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against cost, programme, quality, and contractual obligations.
• Lead commercial negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain package budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Support monthly internal and client reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement commercial opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and project controls teams to manage package delivery.
• Support the resolution of disputes and contractual issues.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the commercial and contractual management of all Superstructure and Precast packages. Manage procurement strategy, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and award of major subcontract packages.
• Administer subcontract agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess variations, claims, extensions of time, and commercial risks.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against cost, programme, quality, and contractual obligations. Lead commercial negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain package budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Support monthly internal and client reporting requirements.
• Identify and implement commercial opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and project controls teams to manage package delivery.
• Support the resolution of disputes and contractual issues.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related discipline.
• 8–15 years' experience in contract administration and commercial management.
• Previous experience managing major structural, precast, or concrete packages on large infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and contract management.
• Experience with claims, variations, and commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of Australian construction contracts.
• Experience in Joint Venture environments is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
