Job description

We're recruiting an experienced Senior CA to take commercial ownership of a $200M high-end Build-to-Rent development in North Sydney, with construction due to commence shortly.

You’ll be involved from the outset, managing the project's commercial and contractual functions through to completion, with a CA and Cadet reporting to you.

This role will suit someone who has built their career with established mid-tier builders, understands what good commercial management looks like and doesn't need someone looking over their shoulder.

The Role

As the senior commercial lead on the project, you'll work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, taking responsibility for:

• Full commercial and contractual management, from procurement through to final accounts.
• Leading and developing a CA and Cadet.
• Project financials, forecasting, reporting and commercial risk.
• Head Contract administration, subcontractor negotiations, variations and contractual matters.
• Presenting commercial updates directly to clients and senior management.
• Working with the delivery team to resolve issues and achieve strong commercial outcomes.

Who We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in Senior CAs who have established themselves within the Sydney mid-tier market, with a solid track record delivering high end Class 2 projects.

You’ll need strong contractual knowledge, commercial acumen and the confidence to manage the financial position of a major project, including the contractual and compliance requirements associated with Class 2 construction.

Equally important is your ability to manage people, build relationships and confidently present to clients. We're looking for someone who can lead a team without micromanaging and is comfortable taking accountability for commercial decisions.
