Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Principal Environmental Scientist / Engineer (Contaminated Land) to lead complex projects in Western Australia. You will direct site investigations, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, and drive strategic contaminated land and groundwater initiatives while mentoring junior staff.
The role is based in Perth with flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home options, and opportunities for professional development, reporting to the Environmental Science/Engineering
Qualifications
- Proven record leading complex contaminated land projects.
- Experience directing site investigations and supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong technical writing and reporting to senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Comfort with regulatory navigation and NEPM guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, plan, lead and execute complex contaminated land and groundwater projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports (PSI, SAQP, DSI, RAP, SRV).
- Provide technical direction for cost-effective client solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and oversee technical quality.
- Prepare and negotiate bids and fee proposals.
- Provide commercial oversight to ensure favorable financial results.
- Engage in client liaison and business development to secure future workload.
