Job Description

As a Senior Consultant, you will bring deep practice expertise to our client engagements and play a key role in both how we deliver and how we grow our people. You will lead smaller engagements from start to finish, lead workstreams within larger projects, and be a people leader for our interns and graduates, helping them build the capability and confidence to progress along our consulting pathway.

Who we are

The Bridge International group is a boutique consultancy. We are The Bridge between strategy and execution, and our ambition is to be the most trusted professional services consultancy in Australia and

New Zealand. We are made up of three client facing brands: The Bridge International, our CX and transformation business CXO2, and our foundation, Bridge to Good.

At the heart of what we do is our Triple Play Philosophy, where we work with our clients to optimise outcomes across culture, customer, and commercials. Our ways of working reflect our values-based behaviours of Passion, Trust, Curiosity, Delivery and Team and we support all our people to live these values within our business and with our clients.

How we work

We value a close team structure, where our leadership team works alongside our consultants and team members. With a core team of around 20, supported by our extended team of experts, we can provide flexibility to our clients and work-life balance to our team members with our hybrid working style. You will enjoy modern office facilities in our Sydney hub.

Because of our strong focus on collaboration, connection and learning from each other, we have anchor days when our team members work in our dedicated spaces when they are not working on site with clients. This keeps our team members connected across assignments. This role will report to one of our Leadership team, and you will work closely with our senior leaders and Partners on a regular basis, while leading and supporting the interns and graduates in your team.

What this role is responsible for

In this role you will be responsible for: Client delivery and engagement leadership

  • Leading smaller engagements end to end, including scoping, planning, delivery, quality assurance and close-out.
  • Defining the scope, objectives and methodology of engagements, and managing client expectations throughout delivery.
  • Leading workstreams within larger projects and delivering defined work packages to agreed scope, timeframes and resourcing budget.
  • Directing research, stakeholder interviews and analysis of client operations, systems and structures, and applying deeper sector or practice expertise to diagnose the underlying organisational and operational problems.
  • Developing evidence-based solutions to operational challenges, cultural misalignment, customer dissatisfaction and process inefficiencies, tailored to each client’s circumstances.
  • Acting as a trusted day-to-day contact for client stakeholders, managing expectations and raising risks and issues early.
  • Guiding clients through the implementation of approved recommendations, including operational improvement frameworks, the adoption of new processes and systems, and the change management needed to sustain improvements in efficiency and performance.
  • Managing engagement governance, including deliverable tracking, risk and issue management, reporting and milestone control, and assuring the quality of all work before it reaches the client.

People leadership

  • Leading, coaching and mentoring interns and graduates, including allocating work, setting clear expectations, reviewing their work and providing regular feedback.
  • Building capability within client teams so that improvements are sustained beyond the life of an engagement.
  • Contributing to onboarding, performance conversations and development planning for the interns and graduates you lead.
  • Role-modelling our values-based behaviours on site with clients and within the Bridge team.

Commercial and business growth

  • Managing the performance of the engagements you lead, including effort, resourcing and deliverables.
  • Identifying opportunities to extend or expand client relationships and supporting Partners with proposals.
  • Contributing to practice development, including methodologies, tools, templates and thought leadership in your area of expertise.
  • Managing scope and raising change requests for out-of-scope work
  • Estimating effort and resourcing, and costing work packages for proposals
  • Planning resources so interns and grads take on appropriate work and engagements stay profitable
  • Building business cases and quantifying the value of recommendations for clients
