Job summary

McMahon Services in Adelaide seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial and Defence construction projects across South Australia, from planning through to completion. You’ll work with clients, consultants and in-house teams to deliver on time, within budget and to high safety standards.

You’ll lead project engineers and delivery teams, manage budgets and procurement, and navigate contracts and risk.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects as a Project Manager or senior project leadership with capability to step up.
• Experience delivering Design & Construct (D&C) projects.
• Experience with Tier 2 or high-performing Tier 3 contractors preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing project financial performance.
• Understanding of construction contracts, procurement and delivery.
• Leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and Defence construction projects from planning through to completion.
• Lead Project Engineers, Site Managers and delivery teams.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, procurement and commercial performance.
• Oversee contract administration, variations, claims and project risk.
• Manage project programmes, resources and key delivery milestones.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Drive safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Ensure Defence, client and compliance requirements are met where applicable.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and improved project outcomes.
• Provide clear project reporting and maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders.
