Overview

McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead on-site delivery across a range of building and construction projects throughout South Australia. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a capable site professional who enjoys ownership of delivery, thrives in dynamic environments and works collaboratively with Project Managers, clients and subcontractors to achieve safe, high-quality outcomes.

About the Role

As Site Manager, you will lead all on-site activities, coordinating labour, subcontractors and resources to ensure building projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will work closely with Project Managers to drive performance, compliance and engagement on site. Regional travel may be required from time to time, with LAFHA and allowances provided where applicable.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage site-based teams, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Work closely with Project Managers on RFIs, variations, delays and EOTs
  • Coordinate labour, plant and materials to meet program milestones
  • Prepare and issue weekly site and progress reports
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, WHS and environmental standards
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in building construction
  • Strong understanding of building methodologies and sequencing
  • Ability to read, interpret and communicate plans and documentation
  • Experience preparing and reviewing JSAs and risk assessments
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Construction White Card and current driver’s licence
  • Senior First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain Defence clearance, DCSI and National Police Clearance
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience delivering complex building projects safely, on time and within budget
  • Proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Procore and/or Pronto (desirable)
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to manage site delivery autonomously
