Job summary

Ferrovial Construction is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement for the Slough wastewater project, coordinating tendering, bid evaluation and subcontract documentation with design, construction, commercial and planning teams.

You will chair weekly procurement meetings, manage ITT and bid processes, and ensure governance and compliance across the JV and Thames Water, drawing on NEC contracts and experience in international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of NEC contracts and other bespoke contracts.
• Previous experience as a procurement lead in construction and line management experience.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across the company and with partners, suppliers and customers.
• Strong influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at different levels.
• A structured and methodical approach to managing procurement activities and documentation.
• A strong attitude to act as a champion to maintain a proper governance of procurement.

Responsibilities

• Procurement strategy and coordination: Coordinate procurement activities with design and construction teams; liaise with Thames commercial representatives; chair weekly procurement meeting and maintain Master Procurement Plan.
• Tender preparation and administration: Administer prequalification and tender processes; prepare ITT documents; manage tender queries; arrange tender meetings.
• Bid evaluation and recommendations: Prepare bid analysis documents; chair post-tender assessment; prepare recommendations and approvals based on Procurement Authority Matrix.
• Subcontract documentation and contractual support: Draft subcontract conditions and Works Information; prepare and amend Works Information documents; provide contractual advice on procurement of specialist items.
