Job summary

Amida Group, a market-leading demolition and decommissioning contractor, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Divisional Manager to lead projects across industrial, energy, civil and mining environments in the Newcastle region.

You will manage a team of project managers and engineers, oversee planning, scheduling and budgets, lead tendering and business development, and deliver multiple projects from $2.5m to $50m+. Some travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• 7–15+ years of management experience on mining/civil projects.
• Project management qualifications are advantageous.
• Hands-on construction understanding and leadership abilities.
• Strong client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead tenders and business development.
• Plan and schedule construction activities across sites.
• Manage site project teams and QA, cost and time controls.
• Prepare and review management reports and forecasts.
• Resolve site issues and liaise with key clients/stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for projects.
• Recruitment and mentoring of teams.
• Oversee multi-project operations and budgets.
