Job summary

McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Demolition & asbestos to lead end-to-end delivery in Newcastle, NSW. You will be responsible for safety, cost, schedule and quality across demolition, asbestos removal and related works, coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors and materials, while maintaining client relationships and project governance.

You’ll supervise multidisciplinary teams, drive programme performance and manage commercial outcomes, with a focus on risk

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Project Management experience within demolition and asbestos removal.
• Strong understanding of demolition methodologies and project delivery.
• Proven ability to lead project teams, subcontractors and site crews.
• Experience managing project P&L and commercial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead demolition, asbestos removal and hazardous materials projects from planning through to completion and handover.
• Take ownership of project safety, commercial, financial, quality and programme outcomes.
• Lead and support project teams, site leadership and specialist crews.
• Plan and coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors, suppliers and project resources.
• Establish and manage project budgets, forecasts and risk registers.
• Maintain oversight of project reporting, cash flow and forecasting.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
