Job summary

Sigma Executive is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel based in Sydney to join a high-performing in-house legal team. You will provide strategic legal support across major construction and infrastructure projects, from procurement through to delivery and operations.

In this front-end focused role, you will work closely with executive leadership, project directors, commercial teams and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on complex development and commercial matters.

Qualifications

8+ years' PQE in construction, projects or infrastructure law.
Experience in front-end construction, infrastructure and major projects matters.
Strong understanding of procurement frameworks and risk allocation.

Responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating major project, construction and commercial agreements (ITC, Alliance, D&C, PPP and consultancy contracts).
Advising on procurement strategies, tender processes and bid documentation.
Providing commercially focused legal advice across major projects, infrastructure and development matters.
Supporting contract management, risk allocation and project structuring.
Assisting with dispute avoidance, claims management and resolution strategies.
Partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver successful project and commercial outcomes.
Managing external legal advisers and supporting key project negotiations.
