Job summary

City of Boroondara is seeking a Senior Construction Management Enforcement Officer to join our expanding team and help deliver first-class regulatory services to protect assets and public safety.

You will carry out inspections of building sites, investigate breaches, prepare enforcement actions, and guide less experienced officers. This field-based role requires responsiveness to daily demand and may include after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Government Compliance or Diploma in Justice or equivalent; relevant Local Law experience desirable but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience reading Traffic Management Plans.
• Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
• Preferred applicants may require pre-employment medical, National Police Check, Victorian Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily occupation inspections of concrete pours, crane occupations and cross-check traffic management plans with activities.
• Investigate complaints, gather evidence, maintain records and apply enforcement measures to achieve compliance.
• Support education, negotiation and formal enforcement actions where required.
• Provide guidance to less experienced officers and contribute to process improvements across the team.
• This field-based role operates across the municipality with occasional after-hours and weekend work; no hybrid work.
