Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, part of the Accor network, is seeking an experienced events professional to lead day-to-day delivery of conferences, meetings and events at a premier resort on the Sunshine Coast. You will collaborate with Commercial, F&B and operations teams to bring events to life with strong planning, leadership and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in conference and events operations within a hotel, resort or large-scale venue.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities.
• Proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail and service excellence.
• Confident communication with clients, guests and internal stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing labour, costs and performance.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of conferences, meetings and events, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained.
• Lead, coach and motivate the Events Operations team to deliver outstanding experiences.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination from planning through execution.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
• Manage rostering, labour costs and operational efficiency to achieve business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across event operations and service delivery.
• Ensure a safe, professional and positive working environment for the team.
