Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre are seeking an experienced events professional to coordinate conferences, events, sporting groups and exclusive-use events. You will manage handover from setup to completion, build strong client relationships and ensure seamless delivery.

Reporting to the Conference & Events Sales Manager, you will lead planning meetings, site inspections and pre-event briefings while maintaining clear communication and accurate event

Qualifications

• Conference and events coordination experience.
• Strong client service and relationship management.
• Experience with event management systems, Delphi FDC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of conferences, events, sporting groups and exclusive-use events.
• Prepare accurate Banquet Event Orders and coordinate requirements across clients and operational teams.
• Lead planning meetings, site inspections and pre-event briefings.
• Maintain strong client communication throughout the event lifecycle.
• Manage event billing including payments, final invoicing, commissions and loyalty points.
• Maintain accurate event data and documentation using Delphi FDC.
• Work towards KPIs including client satisfaction and event delivery standards.

Job Description

Reporting to the Conference & Events Sales Manager, you will play a key role in bringing events to life across Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre. From the initial handover through to event completion, you will coordinate the details, build strong client relationships and ensure every event is delivered seamlessly.
